A. A Simplified Employee Pension plan is available to self-employed individuals and allows for tax deductible contributions and tax deferred earnings. Distributions received from the plan are taxed according to IRA rules.

Q. Are there limits to my contributions?
A. Yes. The maximum contribution to a SEP is 13.04% of your net self-employee income or $25,500, whichever is less.
